Welcome to the International Snow Science Workshop Whistler 2008 website.

This international symposium of snow science and avalanche practice will be held from September 21st-27th, 2008 at the Telus Whistler Conference Centre in Whistler, BC, Canada.

Sam Kavanagh to be 'keynote' speaker.

We are proud to anounce that Sam Kavanagh will be our keynote speaker at the conference.

The spectacular mountain village of Whistler is a world class location for several mountain sports and activities. It is located about 1.5- 2 hours from Vancouver International Airport via a recently upgraded 4 lane highway.

Whistler is also the site for the majority of the alpine events for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
